The first and foremost step a beginner should have is an idea. He should be able to bring out the garden design which can be developed into the real garden by his efforts. The magic of Vines: Besides small flowering plants, you can also include variety of vines like moon-flower, morning glory, and nasturtium and so on. These vines look great on landscapes. Most of these vines are known for the lush foliage created by them, thus providing life to the garden.
Some advantages in using vines are:
  • They can be used for covering an ugly fence or other not too attractive structures.
  • For creating a private place for family
  • Providing more colour and life to your garden, especially in case of small gardens.
  • Vines can be used for decoration of a pillar or a pole.
  • It can be also used for providing shades

One should also take into consideration the type of climate over the place you have decided to create the garden. This can help you to plant according to the season. We should have a clear idea about the soil in our yard. Identify the nature of it, whether it is sandy, loamy, alkaline or acidic in nature. Will the sand drain off water or not. A soil test can be done to have an idea about the soil. One should have an idea about the plants which grow well in our native.
